Crowd Fears Prompt Underwood To Midnight Shop

Country music star CARRIE UNDERWOOD likes to shop late at night - because she suffers panic attacks in crowds.
The Before He Cheats singer has no problems performing in front of thousands of fans, but a busy supermarket fills her with dread.
Underwood explains, “I’m horrible in crowds. I just get so nervous… I don’t like shopping in close quarters. I just cannot do that.”
And her penchant for midnight grocery shopping means she doesn’t have to dress up: “I wash the make-up off… and I’m in a ponytail, glasses, my sweatpants.”
And when the former American Idol champion gets recognised, people can’t believe she’s Carrie Underwood.
She adds, “People won’t tell me, ‘Are you Carrie Underwood?’ They’ll say, ‘Wow, you look like Carrie Underwood’.”
