Cowell Almost Quit Tv In 2009

SIMON COWELL came close to quitting his TV career last year (09) when he realised he had scheduled 18 months of work without a break.
The music mogul is a judge on American Idol as well as his British singing show The X Factor. He also sits on the panel of Britain’s Got Talent and executive produces the show’s American equivalent.
Cowell also balances his TV work with his role as a music executive, working with acts including The X Factor winner Leona Lewis.
And he admits he nearly quit when he looked at his upcoming schedule last summer (09) - because his busy work life made him feel “depressed.”
In an interview with his Britain’s Got Talent co-star Piers Morgan, he says, “I came close (to giving up work) last year when I looked at about June/July and my PA showed me I had an 18 month schedule which took me all the way up to December of this year and every single day was practically planned and that really depressed me.
“I was kind of being pulled along rather than doing what I want to do.”
