Anne Hathaway Titled “Woman Of The Year”

LOS ANGELES, (GaeaTimes.com)- Much acclaimed actress Anne Hathaway would be the recipient of Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year in a much anticipated event tomorrow. The “Rachel Getting Married” star has been chosen for the honor by Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals in order to recognize her contribution to the world of entertainment.
The Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year award is given out every year by Harvard University’s theatrical student society, which is recognized as the oldest drama troupe across United States. While defending their decision of choosing Anne Hathaway as the ‘Woman of the Year’, a spokesperson of the theatrical society added that the 27 year old actress was selected for the diverse roles that she had essayed onscreen. At the same time, it has been revealed that the “The Devil Wears Prada” star is being bestowed with the honor also because of her impressive stage acting.
While receiving the ‘Woman of the Year’ award, Anne Hathaway would be heading a spectacular parade which would pass through the Harvard square and would conclude at a ceremony which would be taking place at the New College Theatre.
Anne Hathaway stepped into the entertainment world with television series ‘Get Real’ in the year 1999. Over the years, she has starred in a number of much acclaimed movies such as “Becoming Jane”, “Brokeback Mountain”, “Havoc” in which her work has been highly appreciated. She also received an Academy Award nomination in the best actress category for her role in “Rachel Getting Married”.
Apart from Anne Hathaway, other celebrated artists who have received the Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year award include Renee Zellweger, Ella Fitzgerald, Halle Berry and Susan Sarandon, among others.
