LONDON - Wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has turned Tooth Fairy for new movie with the same name.
The 37-year-old who stars in the comedy fantasy film “Tooth Fairy” plays a hockey player forced to wear wings and collect the incisors of small children, reports contactmusic.com.
Johnson says he knew as soon as he saw the script that this was an opportunity not to be missed.
“Yeah, when this came across my desk, I wasn’t gonna let it go. Sometimes scripts come across, and you’re like, ‘You know, I could let that one go; maybe someone else could do it.’ But not this, it’s special, funny movie. And also, we had the great opportunity of creating the first onscreen manifestation of an iconic figure that’s been around forever,” he said.
The star admitted he had particularly enjoyed bulking up for the role, as it reminded him of his past WWE days performing as The Rock.
“I’ve been heavier in the past, but I just haven’t been like this. I’ve changed my training around. The training has been tweaked. Plus, when you get older, your muscles especially if you take care of yourself will mature nicely,” he said.
