The Wednesday Duo Naseer-Anupam Back Together in Neeraj Pandeys Next

Neeraj(A Wednesday) Pandey’s real-life heist-caper Special Chabbis about a real-life daredevils 1987 incident where a group of imposters posing as government officials stormed a jewellery store in Mumbai and fled with the loot, just got an interesting twist in its cast.
After Abhishek Bachchan who was signed to play the master-brain, Neeraj Pande has roped in Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher the two stars from his much-acclaimed directorial debut A Wednesday to play pivotal roles in Special Chabbis.
After A Wednesday it was generally felt Neeraj Pandey would make a prequel with the same cast for the same production house UTV. To everyone’s surprise Pandey went into a different production house, Balajee and a different theme with Special Chabbis.
When contacted about the signing his Wednesday heroes Naseer and Anupam Neeraj Pandey replies cautiously, “I’ve spoken to them. Once it’s confirmed I’ll let you know.”
However Anupam Kher clearly confirms his presence in Special Chabbis. ‘It’s a very interesting script and character. Why wouldn’t I do it? I did Neeraj’s first film, like I’ve done films with so many debutant directors from Aditya Chopra and Karan Johar to Dibakar Banerjee and Ayan Mukherjee. Doing a second film with Neeraj is a pleasure.”
Naseeruddin Shah remained unavailable for comment. But someone close to the actor confirmed his presence in Special Chabbis.
