La Toya Jackson Wants Idol Role

LA TOYA JACKSON is keen to take over from SIMON COWELL when he leaves the judging panel on AMERICAN IDOL - insisting she wants her fans to see the “real me”.
The music mogul announced last week (11Jan10) he will be quitting the singing contest when his current contract ends in May (10).
And the late King of Pop’s sister is already eyeing a position on the show, after chatting to the programme’s producer Nigel Lythgoe at a recent party in Los Angeles.
She tells TMZ.com, “I would love to be a judge on American Idol. I would love to have a chance for the public get to know the real me. I would be thrilled.”
