3 Idiots is surely a go-getter

James Cameron’s epic motion picture, ‘Avatar’ the sole release in the last week swayed away the much-deserved laurels by critics and fetched a good amount of revenue too. No wonder none of our biggies in B-town today dared to put their product in the forefront. However, gauging over the way too positive response of our industrywalas for ‘Avatar’, hats off too to the buoyancy and self- confidence they have built over the years.
Let’s come out of ‘Avatar’ mania now and see what our tinsel town has to offer us coming Friday. Yes, it is no less; ‘3 Idiots’ is the centre of attraction and surely a go-getter considering the bountiful of genius engrossed in the film. Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani, Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, R Madhavan says it all for this anticipated super-package of entertainment. ‘3 Idiots’ is a story of three men inspired from Chetan Bhagat’s ‘Five Point Someone’.
The music of the film has already created waves especially ‘All Iz Well’ and ‘Zoobi Doobi’. This venture surely seems to be entertaining the audience with its lively nature. With ‘3 Idiots’ Bollywood will bid goodbye to 2009 with smile although there are few more to come on December 31 namely ‘Raat Gayi Baat Gayi’, ‘Accident On Hill Road’ and ‘Bolo Ram’.
Now call it a sheer co-incidence; Aamir Khan’s stepbrother Hyder Ali too is releasing his film titled ‘Trump Card’ on the same day. Though Hyder stepped into Bollywood with ‘Dil To Diwana Hai’ in January 2009 but the film never saw the light of the day.
Not to be let down Hyder is now all set with ‘Trump Card’, which is directed by Arshad Khan. But the point is-does anyone even know about this film. Ultra-poor promotions can be disastrous to this film with no known star cast to boast off. Riding just on the shoulders of Aamir Khan’s name associated with the producer might give it a little publicity but on a broader perceptive no force of nature could save this film otherwise too.
