Greene’s Stunt Double Was A Man

There’s a big sex-change secret behind THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON - moviemakers were forced to hire a male stunt double for actress ASHLEY GREENE, because they couldn’t find a daredevil female to stand in for her on the film’s Italian set.

The actress’ character races around in a Porsche in scenes for the new Twilight sequel, and producers were apprehensive about putting the 22 year old behind the wheel of a high-powered sports car.

After searching high and low for a lookalike to take her place, filmmakers had to settle for a stuntman in a wig.

Greene reveals, “It was a man! I’m not kidding! I guess there’s not really stuntwomen in this part of Italy.”

But the star wasn’t about to miss out on driving around country lanes in a Porsche.

She adds, “They taught me (how to drive the Porsche)… but they would not tell me if they were gonna let me drive the car right until the last minute.

“I don’t even know if they used my stunt double, but and they actually told me I drove faster than a stuntman. And I didn’t break anything!”
