San Francisco- As a special treat on Halloween, the “Ghost Hunter” series has been providing live shows each year. This year, the team found itself in the Essex County Hospital, searching and filming ghosts. The Hospital has been said to be haunted and has been earlier featured on the “Ghost” adventures.

The “Ghost Hunter” special was hosted by its regular, ‘Josh Gates’, who was flanked by Steve and Tango, his team members. The hospital is spread over a huge area and therefore additional help from other people was required; which the team found in the likes of the newly acquired entrants of the “Ghost Academy” [that is about to hit the screens on November 11].

The whole facility is spread over 256 acres and has more than 70 buildings that alone cover 35 acres of land. Also, these buildings are connected by a wide and long range of tunnels, which too are apparently haunted. Among the century old buildings, the most haunted ones are the building no. 5 [houses the hospital's morgue] and building no. 11 [known to possess "satanic energies"].

The hospital had seen the demise of 24 people long ago, when the heating system stopped working in the winter season. There had also been other deaths during the World War II. The death toll goes to about 1000. “Ghost Hunter“’s live broadcast was available on the Syfy network’s official website, which saw a record number of people tuning in. Cameras had been put at different locations and were being watched by the viewers. The best part was, that the viewers got to hit the panic button whenever they saw something strange on one of the cameras, which would then bring the crew members to investigate that particular area.
