LONDON - Singer Whitney Houston, who for the past few years slipped into obscurity as she struggled with drug addiction, is now making a comeback with a new album.
Titled I Look To You, the album is her first in seven years. Dailymail.co.uk reports that the 45-year-old looked like a professional as she launched her new album in the Mandarian Oriental Hotel in London’s Knightsbridge. She looked the complete opposite of the sickly, worn out person she has been in the past few years.
Some celebrities in the crowd included billionaire Sir Philip Green who all rose to rapturous applause as she unveiled the new album.
A few songs have already been leaked online and some claim that her voice has been ruined, but music mogul Clive Davis thinks otherwise.
“You won’t forget it after you hear it. There is a song in the album which is called ‘I didn’t know my own strength’ and it really speaks for Whitney. She tumbled, but she didn’t crumble,” said Davis, who discovered Houston 25 years ago.
