The sites are good for keeping in touch with others but they are also often used to circulate hoax across the web which may lead to a lot of confusion and dissemination of wrong information. In recent months a number of celebrity death news has appeared in such sites only to be turned out as fake later. The latest celebrity to join the bandwagon of stars whose fake death news have circulated online is the popular R&B singer Bobby Brown. The rumor of his death started circulating on the web through Twitter the micro blogging site that is being used by millions of users worldwide. This led a lot of people to believe that the singer is indeed dead.

The rumor that was spread on the web said that Bobby Brown passed away at 41 owing to cancer. However, later it turned out to be a hoax. As per the latest news, the singer is alive and doing quite well. Earlier stars like Johnny Depp, Justin Bieber and Britney Spears were also rumored to be dead and they all turned out to be false. The R&B singer-songwriter was in the group New edition and started his solo career later.

Bobby Brown whose death rumor spread on the web recently, was married to the R&B diva Whitney Houston. They ended their marriage three years back. He has been pretty successful in his solo career and even won a Grammy award. He is considered as one of the founders of a new music genre called New Jack Swing music. He has also dabbled with reality shows.
