WASHINGTON - Farrah Fawcett’s former Charlie’s Angels co-stars Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith are remembering the actress after she lost her battle to cancer last night (June 25).
Fawcett, who rose to fame as sporty undercover detective Jill Munroe in the 1970s series, passed away at the age of 62 at Saint John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, Calif., after a two-and-a-half year battle with cancer.
Kate mourned the death of her loved co-star in a statement.
“I will miss Farrah everyday. She was a selfless person who loved her family and friends with all her heart, and what a big heart it was.
Farrah showed immense courage and grace throughout her illness and was an inspiration to those around her. When I think of Farrah, I will remember her kindness, her cutting dry wit and of course her beautiful smile. Today when you think of Farrah, remember her smiling because that is exactly how she wanted to be remembered … smiling,” Us magazine quoted her as saying.
Smith, the other member of the original Charlie’s Angels trio, reminisced about her friend as well.
“Farrah had courage, she had strength, and she had faith. And now she has peace as she rests with the real angels,” she said in a statement.
At the time of her death, Fawcett had Alana Stewart, her longtime partner Ryan O’Neal and her doctor Lawrence Piro by her side. (ANI)
