NEW YORK - Bruce Springsteen and his E-Street Band once left many jumping to the sidewalk while driving around London at ‘breakneck speed’, it has been revealed.
In ‘Big Man’, a forthcoming memoir by sax player Clarence Clemons and his friend Don Reo, the latter recalls how the group’s entourage sped past the capital - to grab a drink at Claridges after a concert in 2003.
“There was no rush . . . and yet here we were flying around the corners frightening the children and the horses,” the New York Post quoted Reo as saying in the memoir.
” ‘Clarence,’ I said. ‘Why are we going so fast?’ He half-turned with a bemused look . . . ‘Because we can,’ he said,’ ” he added. (ANI)
