Vegas magician Burton cancels shows after injury

LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas magician Lance Burton is canceling his performances at the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino through June 2 after he broke his right foot onstage last week.

Burton publicist Wayne Bernath said Friday that Burton expects to have surgery on Monday.

Bernath says Burton experienced discomfort in the foot 15 minutes into a performance Thursday.

He says Burton didn’t think it was serious at the time and finished the rest of the show.

He says tickets are refundable for the missed shows.
