LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- She might have enthralled the viewers and charmed the critics with her graceful acting and looks but ace actress Helen Mirren said firmly in a recent award ceremony that she is least bothered about the way she looks. She added that she finds such compliments as craps and they piss her off. She resented the way Hollywood gives priority to young male actors bypassing the talented lot at the star studded Hollywood Reporter’s annual Power 100: Women in Entertainment Breakfast which took place on Tuesday. However, that did not stop Halle berry who was also present at that event from complimenting her as hot as hell. She said that Helen Mirren is probably the only actress who can manage to look sizzling despite crossing 60.

After attending the event where she was given an award the veteran actress went to “The Late Show with Jay Leno”. There she had a brief chat with the host about her new flick Red. In It Helen Mirren essays the role of a retired assassin. The actress spent some light moments on stage with the talk show host and gave him a light lip lock before leaving. Jay Leno showed the famous picture of the actress wearing a red bikini that has earned her many compliments in her life and career.

In the award ceremony Helen Mirren vented her ire on Hollywood’s male worship by saying that owing to this trend many talented actors have been denied chances of giving their best performances. At the same time many average actors managed to get meaty roles owing to the oomph factor.
