SIERRA BLANCA (GaeaTimes.com)- American country singer and songwriter Willie Nelson has been arrested and was charged with possession of marijuana after the police discovered six ounces of marijuana aboard his tour bus in Texas. The U.S. Border petrol spokesman announced the news to the media. Neither Willie Nelson nor his spokesperson Elaine Schock was available for any comments.

The U.S. Border petrol spokesman said that the country music legend Willie Nelson was carrying six ounces of drug when the police stopped his bus in Sierra Blanca, on his way from California to Austin. The local news stations reported that the police stopped the bus around 9 in the morning. Arvin West, the Hudspeth County Sheriff said that the legendary singer was booked into the County jail after the police found out pot in his bus. The police said that a police officers arrested the singer after they noticed a suspicious smell coming out of Willie Nelson’s bus and then searched it to find marijuana.

Arvin West said that after the police found out six ounces of marijuana, Willie Nelson claimed that it belonged to him. Along with Willie Nelson, three other men were arrested at the scene. Willie Nelson’s long time harmonica player said that the “Midnight Rider” singer feels great as he has lost six ounces. On the other hand, Arvin West said that the whole incident is kind of surprising! However, he also added that the police treated him like a normal person in the jail. The police said that Willie Nelson paid $2,500 bail and then he was released from the County jail. In 2006, the police found a pound-and-a-half marijuana along with magic mushrooms in Willie Nelson’s tour bus.
