LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Iconic country singer Willie Nelson who was known for his trademark long reddish hair has reportedly chopped them off. Though Willie Nelson had gone for the haircut few weeks ago the news was made public recently by the spokeswoman of Willie Nelson who said that the singer had undergone the haircut while he was in Hawaii. Willie Nelson has however not done away with the whole length of his hair. He has shortened his hair to his neck and now sports it just above his shoulder.

The spokeswoman of Willie Nelson, Elaine Schock has maintained in front of the media that his previous hairstyle needed a lot of maintenance. She also theorized that the singer perhaps was tired of his long locks and had decided to part with them. Willie Nelson though has come in public sporting his new haircut, he has not yet made any public statement regarding the new style and why he has gone for such a look. Elaine Schock maintained that Willie Nelson did not want his haircut to make a fuss among his fans and thus went for it silently.

However, the news of the Willie Nelson haircut has shocked many of his fans. The reaction of the fans to the pictures released in the net range from that of shock to that of utter disbelief. One of Willie Nelson’s fans posted a comment that read “Oh Noooooo!” on a picture of Willie Nelson posted on a reputed website. However, Willie Nelson seems to be carrying his new look well and even enjoying sporting it.
