Kim Kardashian declines $1m b’day cake made in her honour

NEW YORK - Socialite Kim Kardashian was very clear about how she wanted to celebrate her 30th birthday, and it definitely did not include a 1 million dollar jewel-encrusted birthday cake baked in her honour.
Kardashian, who celebrated her birthday on October 21, was to be gifted with the expensive cake at GLO Nightclub in Westbury, N.Y., but when she came to know about it she declined to accept it.
According to RadarOnline.com, the cake, which had been designed by restaurateur Nino Selimaj, was said to be the most expensive ever made.
“There are some things I wanted to clear up,” the New York Daily News quoted Kardashian as writing on her blog.
“I’m seeing some ridiculous stories today about a million-dollar birthday cake being made for my ‘birthday party’. I would never allow anyone to spend that much money on a cake.
“Making a million dollar birthday cake is just ridiculous! I’d rather they give me a cupcake and donate the rest of the money to the homeless!” she stated.
Meanwhile, GLO and Selimaj were not very happy to hear that she could not accept their offer.
“It’s a shame that she couldn’t just enjoy it for what it is, a record-breaking diamond-encrusted cake gifted her, a lover of diamonds,” Orsino told Radar Online.
“Her people contacted Nino… thanked him for his efforts and explained they couldn’t accept,” Orsino added. (ANI)
