MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The much-awaited Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor starer “Anjaana Anjaani” has been released in theaters across the country today. The flick which was being eagerly awaited by the ardent fans of both Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor was earlier scheduled to hit theaters on September 24, however, fearing that the backlash of the Babri Masjid verdict could affect the business of the movie, it was postponed to October 1. Nevertheless, the delay in releasing the movie has only contributed in accentuating the hype surrounding the flick with the lead stars keeping no stones unturned to promote the flick.
The Siddharth Anand directed “Anjaana Anjaani” has all the necessary ingredients that the audiences usually expect from a typical Yash Raj film with its foreign locations, stylized stars and aboard based characters. The premise of the film basically tells the story of two dejected people meeting on a bridge where they intend to commit suicide but instead end up taking a road trip to Las Vegas together. The two protagonists Akash played by Ranbir Kapoor and Kiara edged by Priyanka Chopra have to experience a series of misadventures during the road trip as they go on to fulfill their last wishes.
The initial response that “Anjaana Anjaani” has received is positive and the almost unending promotional campaign that the producers of the flick have indulged in would surely ensure that movie-goers check out the movie in their nearest theaters at least once. However, whether the movie is able to hold on to the buzz that it has managed to create is something that remains to be seen.
