Los Angeles (GaeaTimes.com) - The NBC reality competition “America’s Got Talent” is in its fifth season and has been going on for four months. Ultimately the winner is announced and it is Michael Grimm - the soul singer on Wednesday. The show offers him $1 million prize and a deal to perform in Las Vegas.
The reality show, which was open for every kind of talents like singers, dancers, magicians, comedians and other performers of all ages, finally chose four final acts for its Grand Finale. The four finalists were the theatrical singer Prince Poppycock, child opera sensation Jackie Evancho, soul singer Michael Grimm and the fantastic dance crew Fighting Gravity.
The second and third runner up is the Fighting Gravity and the opera and cabaret singer Prince Poppycock respectively. In spite of being the judge Sharon Osbourne’s favorite contestant, Poppycock’s lukewarm performance on Tuesday night made him get eliminated.
It was the biggest surprise to the audience that Jackie Evancho was not the America’s Got Talent winner. The 10 years old angelic opera singer Jackie, who sung “Time to say Goodbye” with Sarah Brightman, became the first runner up and came in the second position. There is no doubt, however, that Jackie will go on to have a very successful career.
Michael Grimm(30), the winner, performed professionally since he was young. He lived a frugal life with his grandparents in Mississippi. Now his grandparents who raised him and lost everything during Hurricane Katrina, hope to restore the proper home once again.
Michael, whose “when a man loves a woman” touched and won over millions of hearts, now awaits to enjoy a wonderful career in his life.
