Lady GaGa in MTV Movie Video Music Awards 2010

Los Angeles (GaeaTimes.com) - MTV Video Music Awards was taken by storm as Lady Gaga won in eight of the 14 categories in this year’s event. The capricious singer was nominated for a record number of 13 awards. She took home eight trophies at the prestigious ceremony. This is quite commendable, including Video of the Year for ‘Bad Romance’. When accepting the main award an emotional Gaga said,

I was so nervous tonight that I’d let my fans down. I promised that if I won this tonight, I’d announce the name of my new record.

She then went on to tell the audience about her new album. It would be called ‘Born This Way’. She also sang part of the title song. The 24-year-old star also won prizes for Best Pop Video, Best Female Video and Best Collaboration for her ‘Telephone’ duet with Beyonce Knowles. Then she thanked her fans for their support.

Lady Gaga has always been known for making a bold statement with her astonishing costumes. Tonight was no exception at the MTV Video Music Awards. The pop singer who has thirteen VMA nods tonight is sure to bring home more than a handful of awards later. She showed up to the red carpet in a striped yellow/red dress with a feathery headband.

While she did not disclose how many dress she will change, we can see that she’s already started out the night with something to talk about. The categories in which Gaga took the moon man home are Video of the Year, Female Video, Pop Video, Collaboration, Dance Video, Choreography, Editing and Direction for her album ‘Bad Romance’.
