Rajnikanth’s daughter ties knot with Businessman Ashwin

Mumbai (GaeaTimes.com) - Rajnikanth and Lata’s second born, daughter Soundarya tied knot with her boyfriend Ashwin in Chennai. Soundarya’s husband Ashwin Ramkumar is a business entrepreneur and belongs to a well known business family. The family is in construction work. The families know each other from longtime.

Ashwin is a graduate from Stanford University and Soundarya is producer, director and film graphic designer. They were dating for a year. They met each other through common family friends.

The wedding was a gala affair with more than 1000 guests. The venue was city’s Rani Meyyammai and Raja Muttiah hall. The groom arrived around 7 am. He was dressed stylishly in the traditional panchakacham. Soundarya was looking gorgeous in nine yard red sari with elegant jewels.

Dressed in a white shirt and dhoti, Rajnikanth personally welcomed the invitees. Rajnikanth and his wife looked after every detail meticulously. No stone was left unturned to live up to the expectations of the people. The wedding was a flawless gala event.

The wedding was held in a typical Brahmin style. The invitees ranged from super stars to politicians. The entire Indian film industry was present there. Some of the high profile guests were Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, MDMK leader Vaiko, filmmaker Mani Ratnam, Rajini’s mentor and director K. Balachander, actor Kamal Haasan, Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi, actor Surya, Sridevi and husband Boney Kapoor. The first family of Bollywood was represented by Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan.

Rajnikanth apologized saying that some of the relatives and friends were left uninvited due to limited time and space. Soundarya and Ashwin hosted a party on Thursday for close relatives and friends.
