Blenders Pride fashion tour kickstarts in Chandigarh

CHANDIGARH - Top notch designers of the Indian fashion industry are showcasing their works in the sixth edition of Seagram’s Blenders Pride fashion tour, which started here late Saturday.

From Chandigarh, the fashion tour will move to Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata before culminating at Bangalore Sep 26.

In Chandigarh, Raghavendra Rathore, Asmita Marwah, Mandira Wirk, Neeta Lulla, Rahul and Gunjan, and Shantanu and Nikhil will showcase their collections over the two-day fashion extravaganza.

Besides many prominent models, actresses Jacqueline Fernandez and Neetu Chandra will walk the ramp.

Designers are quite thrilled to participate in this fashion tour.

“This is my first visit to Chandigarh and I am looking forward to a very exciting event ahead. My designs fuse traditional fabrics with a global sensibility,” Marwah, whose clientele include film stars and renowned painter M.F. Hussain, told IANS.
