“Black Swan” Movie To Open Venice Festival

VENICE, ITALY (GaeaTimes.com)- Natalie Portman starer “Black Swan” has been named as the opening movie of this year’s Venice Film Festival. Anticipation regarding the psychological thriller has been skyrocketing among the ardent followers of the 29-year-old actress and the fact that the flick has been selected as the opening film of the 67th edition of the Venice Film Festival has contributed to the hype that the movie has already managed to generate among movie-goers.
The movie “Black Swan” has been directed by Darren Aronofsky basically focuses on the competition between two dancers of a ballet company in New York. In the much-awaited film, all the fans of Natalie Portman would see her edging the pivotal character of a ballerina Nina who is selected for the lead role of the ballet ‘Swan Lake’ while Mila Kunis plays the role of the rival ballerina who later joins the production company. The movie tracks the rather strange relationship that the two rival dancers develop with the passage of time. “Black Swan” also stars Vincent Cassel, Winona Ryder as well Barbara Hershey, who are also expected to attend the world premiere of the psychological thriller when it takes place in Venice later this year.
While reacting to the recognition that the movie “Black Swan” has received in the Venice Film Festival, director Darren Aronofsky said in a statement that the cast and crew of the flick are excited as well as honored to have been selected for the screening at the esteemed film fest while adding that they are also thrilled about the fact that “Black Swan” would be premiered in front of the wonderful audience that Venice has to offer.
