‘Rock Of Ages’ Rocks The Stage

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- ‘America’s Got Talent’ witnessed the display of talent apart from the contestants when the cast of the musical ‘Rock Of Ages’ performed on stage at the performance round of the quarterfinal. The show was aired on Wednesday and had a number of guest performers that included Selena Gomez. The show also picked four out of the 12 contestants who would go through to the next round.

The much hyped performance of the Rock Of Ages cast was also accompanied by a surprise guest star. Dee Snider of the Twisted Sister performed alongside the Constantine Maroulis and gave a great deal to cheer. The comedy musical Broadway group is all set to cash in on its grand success later this year as they go on a National tour. The show also saw the going home of some of the fabulous talents on ‘America’s Got Talent’ as 8 of the 12 contestants were sent home. A surprise exit came for the Hot Shot Tap Dancers who were expected top go through to the next round easily. Among the four going on to the next round were the dance group ‘Fighting Gravity’. The group became a rage on the web for its unique routine that makes the dancers look as if they are floating in the air. Another surprise in the top 4 was the Future Funk group that is a hip hop dance duo who are 5 and 9 years old.

Rock of Ages has been a highly applauded Broadway musical that has been nominated for 5 Tony Awards. It has also recently launched a production at Toronto’s Royal Alexandria.
