CHICAGO (GaeaTimes.com)- Rock band Medina Lake bassist Matthew Leone has been admitted to a medical facility with severe injuries after he was assaulted when he attempted to stop a man from beating his wife. The incident is reported to have taken place in Chicago outside the house of his band mate and twin brother Nathan Leone’s apartment. The news of the much acclaimed musician being hospitalized has been confirmed by his twin brother in his blog on Wednesday.

In his blog, Nathan Leone has revealed intrinsic details of the incident which supposedly took place few night earlier. While on his way to meet a friend, Matthew Leone saw a man severely beating his wife and intervened to stop the tussle although the man was supposedly double his size. Despite the fact that the musical artist was able to subdue the man, he was suddenly attacked by the guy from behind and was mercilessly beaten up. Matthew Leone was supposedly left to die on the streets as the man left with his wife.

While talking about the current condition of the Medina Lake bassist, Nathan Leone further divulged in his blog that doctors have removed a part of Matthew Leone’s skull while they are now waiting for the swelling in his brain to get reduced. Since the news of Matthew Leone being hospitalized has spread, heartfelt messages of all his fans have been pouring in the social networking site Twitter as they are praying desperately for their favorite musician’s speedy recovery. The alternative rock band Medina Lake was formed in the year 2005 and since then have been able to garner a large fan base for themselves.
