Bill Compton, in Mississippi is seduced by Lorena and the former beats her and then end up being physically intimate. There were several subplots involved with it as Jason gets distracted from the police exams, Franklin charms Lara, Eric gives a gift to Lafayette. Bill Compton on the other hand makes an surprising pledge of allegiance as he is tormented by his past memories.
