LOS ANGELES - Pop star Lady Gaga and singer Justin Bieber have backed the decision of bands Korn, Creed and Backstreet Boys to boycott BP’s fuel as a mark of protest against the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

The “Poker Face” singer has refused to use BP oil for her tour bus, in support of the initiative started by members of the band Korn, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Bieber will raise awareness to help the victims in a star-studded “Larry King Live” telethon Monday. The show is joined by stars Cameron Diaz, Robert Redford, Kathy Griffin and Sting.

English singer Sting will also make a special performance and TV personality Ryan Seacrest will host a special social suite on social networking sites Facebook and Twitter.

The proceeds from this telethon will benefit the United Way, The National Wildlife Federation and The Nature Conservancy, organisations working directly with the families, individuals and wildlife affected by the Gulf oil spill.
