Tollywood T20 Declared “Illegal”

HYDERABAD, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Tollywood T20 tournament which is said to have been inspired by IPL witnessed its curtain raiser that was organised by MAA ( Movie Artists Association). Reportedly, Tollywood T20 night was a perfect instance of cricket meets glamor extravaganza.
Tollywood T20 curtain-raiser included a fashion show where models walked the ramp wearing the official jerseys of the team. Tollywood stars like Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, Venkatesh and Chiranjeevi accompanied the model in their catwalk along with the Tolly beauties Charmme, Priyamani, Anushka and Bhoomika. As a matter of fact, these tollywood ladies are the ambassadors of the four Tollywood T20 teams. Besides the fashion show,Mumaith Khan, Poonam Kaur and Bindu Madhavi set the tune right for the evening with their exotic performance. On the other hand the Tollywood T20 tournament has been declared illegal by SAAP (Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh). Speaking on the same note the SAP Principal Secretary AK Parida told the media that orders have been issued for SAAP Managing Director and Vice-Chairman Mukesh Kumar Meena which shall put a stop on any and all kinds of commercial activities in the LB stadium. The authorities have also asked to stop selling the Tollywood T20 tickets.
According to SAAP, the Tollywood T 20 cricket tournament that was originally meant to help the economically backward artists of the industry has been called illegal by the Income Tax officials. They have asked SAAP to pay a total sum of Rs 86.7 crore as levy charges for the Tollywood T20 tournament. SAAP is of the opinion that no such commercial activities that includes the film industry should be allowed to take place which they fear might led them to severe levy charges from the income tax department.
