‘Rajneeti’ Doing Good Business

MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- ‘Rajneeti’ the much anticipated film by ace director Prakash Jha is doing good business in the first weekly of its release. The film ran into a number of controversies before it release but those only helped it to hog limelight and draw more viewers in the theatres. The film may become one of the major hits of this year and bring some good news for Bollywood that has been witnessing draught of successful films in 2010. In just three days post its release the political thriller grossed a whopping INR 34 crore. This is its collection in India and if one takes into account the overseas business the producer will be all smiles. It has been getting better response than the Hrithik Roshan starrer Kites which turned out typo be a dud after a good start.

‘Rajneeti’was made at the cost of INR 40 crore and it has been reported that the movie has recovered the cost within the first few days. It has been getting good response from all states in India where it has been released and both rural and urban viewers have given it a thumb up. As one can understand, the director of the film Prakash Jha is elated with the response his film is getting in India. He is presently in Hong Kong. He was apprehensive about the problems he had to face before the release of the film but now everything seems to be well.

The viewers have also liked the performance of Katrina Kaif in ‘Rajneeti’. They have agreed that her efforts to improve her Hindi have paid off finally.
