Elton John remained skeptically silent about the whole controversy surrounding his presence in the music Festival.
The opposition Islamist party has previously criticized the organizers for inviting Elton John to the concert as he is a self proclaimed gay. They argued that such a person would set a bad example for the youth of the nation. However, the organizers of the festival have maintained in front of the media sources that they have invited Elton John keeping in mind his contribution to the field of music and how esteemed as a musician he is in the whole world. Aziz Zaki mentioned that singers were invited to the show “on the basis of the quality of the performance on stage and according to their artistic career”.
