Keys Engaged And Pregnant

ALICIA KEYS has two big reasons to celebrate - the R&B singer is about to become a wife and a mum in the same year.

A representative for the 29-year-old star has confirmed she’s engaged to producer Swizz Beatz and the couple is expecting their first child together.

Keys has been romantically linked to the hitmaker, real name Kasseem Dean, since September 2008, following the breakdown of his four-year marriage to singer Mashonda.

And now the singer’s publicist has confirmed the couple will wed later this year (10), adding the musicians “are expecting a baby”.

Meanwhile a friend of the stars adds, “They’re very happy”.

Dean is already a father to two children from previous relationships.

Keys is currently on tour and she’ll also perform at the Fifa World Cup’s kick-off concert on 10 June (10) in South Africa.

The singer recently spoke about starting a family, but insisted she wanted to create a Broadway musical first.

She said, “I absolutely am very interested in starting a family. It’s one of the most beautiful experiences to have in this life and I am looking forward to it when it is my time. I have a lot of things I still want to do.”
