SAN FRANCISCO (GaeaTimes.com)- People who love watching the cult horror movies keep the 1984 classic ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street‘ in their collection. The movie is now considered as one of the cult horror flicks Hollywood has ever produced. A remake of the movie having the same name is being released today which has been produced by Michael Bay. The movie brings back mysterious killer Freddy Krueger taking revenge on a group of urban teenagers whose parents burnt him alive years ago. The teenage boys and girls keep seeing him in their dreams and they can help each other only by staying awake.

The remake of the film ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street‘ has a change in its plot. In the new film, killer Freddy Krueger is shown as a pedophile and his child molestation background gets focus. The trailer of the new film is available in a number of web sites that offers the viewers a glimpse into the remake. It is difficult to say whether the remake will be able to match the expectation of the viewers who adore the original movie. Obviously the remake version features improved visual effects. However, it is not sound or visual effects that can make a horror film click with the viewers.

Jackie Earle Haley, the veteran academy award-winning actor plays the role of the killer Freddy Krueger in the remake of the ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street‘. His makeup is impressive but it gives an impression as if he has come from an alien planet. A few parts in the new movie, especially those involving the dream sequences seem to work well.
