Lil Wayne Thanks Fans With Goodbye ‘tweet’

Rapper LIL WAYNE has thanked his fans for their unwavering support as he prepares to serve time in prison.

The hip-hop star, nicknamed Weezy F. Baby, has been keeping busy recording songs and filming a total of 16 music videos for release while he serves time for weapons possession, and he’s paid tribute to his devotees for their continued words of support.

In a post on his Twitter.com blog on Tuesday morning, he wrote, “Yesterday i smiled, today i smirked, tomorrow i stop.

“Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, they’re needed. The F (in his nickname) is for family, friends, and fans………. thank u………. your love and prayers are felt. They kant lok up my heart bekuz y’all already have it on lok. ………thank u (sic).”

The Lollipop hitmaker was expected in a New York court on Tuesday (02Mar10) to be sentenced for a year behind bars for the charge, which stems from an arrest in July 2007.

But he got a lucky break after a fire at the courthouse resulted in the building being shut down - postponing his sentencing to a later date.
