UK inquest opens into Alexander McQueen’s death
LONDON — A British coroner is scheduled to formally open an inquest into the death of fashion designer Alexander McQueen.
Results of a post mortem conducted following the designer’s death will be released Wednesday at the brief hearing, police said.
McQueen was found dead in his home on Thursday having apparently committed suicide.
The British coroner’s task is to formally identify the circumstances of the 40-year-old McQueen’s death
Authorities have said the death was not suspicious, but police have not indicated how McQueen was discovered.
The hearing at Horseferry Road Coroner’s Court will not hear detailed evidence but discuss initial details regarding McQueen’s death.
A more detailed hearing will take place following further investigations.
