LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com) — Rob Reiner is a versatile filmmaker. He started his career as an actor before finding success as a director. He performed in many television and feature productions. His work in the long- running television series ‘All in the Family’ earned him Emmy award.

He got immense fame with the acclaimed “rockumentary” comedy ‘This is Spinal Tap’ in 1984. This was followed by the road comedy ‘The Sure Thing’ and the adaptation of Stephen King’s youth adventure ‘Stand By Me’.

Rob Reiner was nominated as Best Director from the Directors Guild of America for the film ‘Stand By Me’. In 1993 he was nominated for Oscar for the film ‘A Few Good Men’ (1992). A beloved classic, ‘The Princess Bride’, was adapted by William Goldman from his book.

Reiner’s box office hits include ‘When Harry Met Sally…’, ‘Misery, A Few Good Men’, ‘The American President and Ghosts of Mississippi’.

He was born on March 6, 1947 in the Bronx, New York. The man is not only an actor, but also a director, producer, writer and even a composer. The cinema veteran is taking a new challenge in his latest movie. He is aimed at giving the ordinary theme of marriage a unique look.
