Govinda urges students to refrain from committing suicide

MUMBAI - Bollywood actor Govinda has urged young students to refrain from committing suicides.

Speaking at an event held here on Sunday to promote his film ‘Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai’, Govinda said it was his duty to advise the young generation to refrain from committing suicide.

“The young generation deserves love and affection and because I am playing the role of a lawyer in ‘Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai’, so it is my duty to advise them that I am fighting for them on behalf of them. I wish they stay happy and healthy and while living in the society should not think of committing suicide. I wish their parents remain happy with their children so that the children should not consider themselves a burden,” he added.

Suicide is becoming a leading cause of death in India. In every 100,000 people, 98 of commit suicide annually.

Most people who commit suicide in India are below 30 years of age. (ANI)
