MELBOURNE - Jennifer Hawkins has been dropped from the cover of Woman’s Day magazine as objections to her nude photoshoot continue to grow.

The former Miss Universe dropped her layers for the cover of Marie Claire in an apparent effort to make women feel comfortable with their bodies.

Unretouched pictures of the 26-year-old were published showing a tiny crease on her waist, a slightly dimpled thigh and naturally uneven skin tones.

According to the Herald Sun, Hawkins has been dumped in favour of Australia Idol favourite Ricki-Lee Coulter, reports the Daily Telegraph.

A spokeswoman for Woman’s Day confirmed that a story based on Hawkins had been replaced, but was expected to be published in a later issue.

Hawkins’ naked photos drew criticism from Aussie radio host Bianca Dye who slammed the magazine for presenting the beauty queen as a role model for female body image.

Myer CEO Bernie Brookes also said he was ‘disappointed’ that the Australian retail giant’s ambassador failed to warn them about her controversial shoot. (ANI)

I really enjoyed this post, especially the “examples in this post” portion which made it really easy for me to SEE what you were talking about without even having to leave the article. Thanks
