CBS wins viewership with trusty dramas, comedies

NEW YORK — NBC’s football and CBS’ dramas and comedies proved favorites among viewers last week.

Nielsen Co. says the most-watched show was NBC’s Sunday faceoff between the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants. But the week’s top 10 was dominated by reliable CBS hits like “CSI” and “Two and a Half Men,” with that network’s newsmagazine, “60 Minutes,” in a robust fourth place.

Overall, CBS was the prime-time ratings winner, followed by NBC, ABC and Fox.

NBC’s “Nightly News” remained the top-rated evening newscast.
