Big show director HAMISH HAMILTON faces a busy start to 2010 - the event mastermind will take charge of both the Oscars and the Super Bowl half-time show.
Hamilton, the man behind the MTV Video Music Awards and concerts for Neil Diamond, U2 and Christina Aquilera, has signed on to direct the 82nd Academy Awards telecast in March (10).
It will be Hamilton?s first time directing the Oscar show.
Academy Awards first-time boss Adam Shankman tells WENN, “Hamish is a first-rate live-show director who will bring enthusiasm, experience and a fresh eye to the table. He?s also a master of working with all of the latest technology in television production.”
A month before the movie industry’s big night, Hamilton will take charge of the sports world’s biggest half-time show when he directs the spectacle at Super Bowl XLIV.
