“Boyzone” Member Stephen Gately Found Dead

Tragedy struck the music world as Stephen Gately, one of the members of the world renowned ‘all-boy-band’ “Boyzone” was found dead while vacationing in Majorca. According to the reliable sources, the group’s official website stated that Gately had “tragically died” on Saturday and that the entire band would be leaving Majorca on Sunday. Sources further revealed that the former member of the world famous group was on a holiday trip with his long term partner Andy Cowles.

The news came as a shock to the band who were seemingly devastated with the loss of Gately. According to Dan Wootton, the editor of the News of the Worlds show-business, Gately reportedly went out for a drink then went back to his room but never woke up from his state of unconsciousness. “We are all absolutely devastated,” Boyzone manager Louis Walsh told the reporters.

According to the sources, Ronan Keating, the backbone of the band was reportedly shattered after he got the news of Gatley’s sad demise. “Ronan is completely distraught. No one saw this coming. He loved Stephen like a brother,” said one of Ronan’s friends.

Gately, who made news in 1999 after he revealed that he was gay and had a boy friend, was very close to all the members of the band. He married his long time partner Andy Cowles in a private civil partnership ceremony in 2006. After the band split, Gately continued his career as a solo artist. He also appeared in ITV1’s reality show “Dancing on Ice”. Gatley’s demise comes as a shock to the music world.
