Rober Downey Jr. to star in Due Date?

WASHINGTON - Robert Downey Jr. is set to star in the new film ‘Due Date,’ which is to be directed by Todd Phillips for Warner Bros, it has emerged.

The actor may play an expectant father who finds himself on a road trip with a mismatched partner, played by Zach Galifianakis, as he races to get there before his child is born.

The helmer describes the film as “a buddy comedy without the buddies,” Variety magazine reports.

The shooting, which is to take place in Atlanta, Arizona and Los Angeles, is scheduled to start in September this year.

Downey is currently at Comic-Con promoting new film “Sherlock Holmes.”

He is also awaiting the release of the Jon Favreau-directed ‘Iron Man 2′. (ANI)
