NEW DELHI - Soha Ali Khan, who teamed up with her mother Sharmila Tagore in a British movie, says she was nervous while working with her.
“I was a bit nervous while working with her because she is a perfectionist but it was a superb experience. There were times when she used to scold me on the sets, said Soha who was in the capital for an event.
Both mother and daughter will be seen in director Sangeeta Datta’s English movie that revolves around a father and his three daughters. The film also stars Girish Karnad, Om Puri and some British actors.
Soha is often compared with her mother and brother Saif and the actress says she feels honoured.
“It feels good because both of them are versatile actors and have been in the industry for years. I’m new and here I am not in competition with peers, said the actress who was last seen in “99″.
Her next release is Kunal Deshmukh’s “Tum Mile” with Emraan Hashmi. Soha, who was seen in “Rang De Basanti” and “Ahista Ahista”, describes it as her first contemporary romantic film.
“I have done romantic roles earlier as well but this movie is my first contemporary romantic film. The music of the movie is great and working in it was a big challenge.”
Elaborating on the ‘challenges’ part, the actress said that the toughest part was to be in the water for 14 hours for 40 days.
