BANGALORE, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The much-anticipated marriage ceremony of Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi with Priyanka Alva took place with much elan on Friday evening in the presence of family members and close friends. The couple who were engaged for the past few months tied the knot in a gala ceremony at the bride’s Bangalore residence last night. The wedding ceremony turned out to be a close-knit affair that was attended by the family members as well as the close friends of the newly-weds. Although the mediapersons were not allowed at the wedding venue, soon after the ceremony was solemnized, the couple came out of the Alva residence to provide the media with a glimpse of the newly-wedded pair and pose for the shutterbugs.

Vivek Oberoi along with the ‘baarat’ arrived at the Alva residence on around 6 in the evening to tie the knot with his lady love. However, the 34-year-old Bollywood actor had to enter the wedding venue from the back door in order to avoid the media glare amidst fireworks exploding in the sky and much fanfare. The entire marriage ceremony was held under tight security with more than hundred security personels keeping a strict vigil on the huge crowd of mediapersons as well as curious onlookers who has gathered outside the wedding venue.

Although many Bollywood biggies did not grace the event as they are expected to attend the grand reception later, some of the prominent personalities who were present to offer their best wishes to Vivek Oberoi and his bride were ace director Mani Ratnam, actress Sushmita Sen as well as noted politicians such as BJP President Venkaiah Naidu, Karnataka Legislative opposition leader Siddaramaiah, among others.
