Satya Paul’s Delhi Eye

September 29, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Satya Paul, the designer extraordinaire has decided to commemorate quarter of a century of heading each and every cutting edge design, modern graphics, extraordinary color play and a modern angle to the traditional sari, by holding a gala event.

He would be holding event so as to open the Delhi Eye which is a completely new venture with IZara entertainment. It was initiated by Mr. Syed Salim in collaboration with Mr. Henk Roodenberg from the Dutch Wheels.

At the event, the lights were dimmed and songtress Mansi Scott’s did what they always do, enthralled the hall full of audience. Raghav Sachar, a prodigy who can play a total of 24 instruments fluently.

This is an untypical fashion show, where several live musical performances, made for a perfect accompaniment for the models showcasing saris, churidaar ensembles, lehengas and dresses. It was both a visual as well as an aural delight. The audience or the guests were mesmerized by the entire assortment of lights, colors, music and glitz.

The designer’s trademark blouses and Bollywood hottie Malaika Arora Khan both made the whole evening more awesome. She walked the ramp, while draped in a colorful sari, matched with exotic jewellery from the house of Rose.

Malaika Arora Khan later said that it was her pleasure to walk the ramp for Satya Paul. Indeed, Satya Paul re-cemented his position as one of the most experienced, awesome and flamboyant designer, that this nation has ever seen.
