KASABIAN frontman TOM MEIGHAN is releasing a charity single to raise funds in honour of a young fan who died of cancer last year (09).

The singer was devastated to hear Harley Staples had lost his fight for life and vowed to help fundraise in the eight year old’s memory.

He teamed up with British band SuperEvolver to record Viva Le Revolution and they’re donating the profits to the Harley Staples Cancer Trust.

Meighan says, “I think if Harley was around he’d be really proud; he’d be loving it, the fact this song is for him. It keeps his memory alive; it’s brilliant.”

The money raised from the track, which will be available to download from Monday (27Sep10), will also go to benefit UNICEF’s Pakistan Flood Children’s Appeal.
