Pregnant singer ALICIA KEYS celebrated her baby news by performing with British rockers KASABIAN and crooner BRYAN FERRY at a benefit gig in London on Thursday night (27May), which raised thousands of dollars for her children’s charity.

The Fallin’ hitmaker, who has confirmed she’s expecting a baby with her producer fiance Swizz Beatz, hosted the Black Ball in the British capital in aid of her Keep A Child Alive foundation.

Keys played an intimate set at the gig, opening with her hit No One before welcoming Kasabian stars Tom Meighan and Serge Pizzorno on stage to play the band’s song Underdog, before launching into a rendition of Where Did All The Love Go?

The Grammy-winner was later joined by Ferry for performances of Roxy Music’s Love Is The Drug and the veteran singer’s Slave To Love.

The evening also included a charity auction, hosted by Keys and actress Thandie Newton, featuring Christian Louboutin shoes worn by Keys and Beyonce in the video for their duet Put It In A Love Song. The designer heels sold for $22,500 (£15,000), while a guitar donated for Kasabian went for $9,750 (£6,500) and the chance to record a song with Swizz Beatz was sold to British boyband JLS for $45,000 (£30,000).

A photo-opportunity with Keys to be published in Britain’s OK! magazine raised $18,000 (£12,000) for the star’s charity, according to NME.com.
