Tyler spotted at ‘American Idol’ presentation

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Fox is to announce new judges for “American Idol” Wednesday.

One of the front-runners, Steven Tyler, was spotted early at the presentation, which was scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. EDT.

Simon Cowell left the show when the season ended in May, while Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi exited this summer. Two vacancies are to be filled, to bring the show back to the three-judge panel that’s been a mainstay for most of the show’s run.

Jennifer Lopez is the other front-funner.
