September 16, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Not long time ago, we had Fox Star Studios making its way into Tamil film industry. Hollywood’s 20th Fox Century announced its production of films in collaboration with A.R. Murugadoss Productions. Now, Kollywood will be more privileged to have yet another production company from Hollywood. It’s none other than Warner Bros.
Warner Bros holds special mention for having churned out the biggest showpieces that includes some of the sensational hits of 2010 – Terminator Salvation, The Hangover, 17 Again, Sherlock Holmes, Inception, and Harry Potter series including Harry Potter and the Deadly Hollows.
According to the sources, Warner Bros expected to make their official announcement about their production of films by next week. The production company is expected to evolve itself into production and distribution of South Indian languages and its priority will be for Tamil films.
Warner Bros, a Time Warner Company is far-famed for its surpassing excellence in entertainment industry that includes films, television, home videos/DVD, animation comic books, interactive games, broadcasting and many more. Warner Bros has successfully accomplished with the distribution and marketing of feature films, which includes Hollywood, foreign films and few Hindi films (started with Akshay Kumar starrer Chandni Chowk to China) as well across 175 territories.
Warner Bros had earlier signed a pact with Soundarya Rajnikanth’s Orcher Studios before a year and together plans were made to produce big-budget South Indian films. Later on time, there were rumors about WB canceling their pact with Orcher Studios. Although Soundarya Rajnikanth claimed this to be a baseless rumor, not even a single film was produced as a joint venture.
