Jittery Kelly Rowland lip-synchs tracks at concert

NEW YORK - Kelly Rowland was so nervous at a concert recently that she opted to lip-sync her tracks.
The R’n'B artist-whose pre-concert ritual is to blow in and out of a balloon until she’s gasping for air-gave in to the jitters recently when she opted to lip-sync during a concert at the P.C. Richard ‘n’ Son Theater in TriBeCa.
After the performance, Rowland was upset because she knew she didn’t rock the house, according to a witness.
The next day, reps for her Universal Motown label told Clear Channel suits, who handled the iheartradio Concert Series, they couldn’t use the show for an online video.
An insider said Rowland also lip-synced at 103.5 KTU’s Beatstock last month.
Her rep said she sang “live to track”-which means that she sang along with a recording- because she was congested and didn’t want to disappoint her fans.
“She does not use balloons for anxiety, but rather to warm up her vocals,” the New York Post quoted her rep as saying. (ANI)
